Re: Gianfranco Zola
I liked him at the time. We were at a bad time and Zola had a cheery persona that brightened things but of course, Sullivan got that one right. He was too nice to be a manager...

Re: Gianfranco Zola
Good mate of mine supports BCFC and he was elated at Franco Zola taking over thinking it was a major coup. I did warn him. In fairness, he didn't understand the sacking of Gary Rowett who I reckon will be a good manager.

Re: Gianfranco Zola
You can't deny he entertained the nation when he went flying over on his backside on the touch line at Watford.
Is this further proof great players hardly ever make great managers?

His 'village Idiot' grin and 'The boys a played a well' mantra used to piss me off after every heavy loss on Match of the Day!

Re: Gianfranco Zola
It was a 'long term strategy' and related to the 'brand' of the club.
In other words absolute nonsense from a bunch of know-nothings
I see Derby went there a few weeks ago and won in the last minute and Rowett didn't want to make a fuss at all.
Zola is clueless and a fraud.
The Alex V of management

Should have resigned about 10 games ago.
Has left someone with some serious shit to deal with for 3 games.
Dreadful manager unsuited to dealing with ADULTS
